Making the most of a visit to Industry Drive

Stone is easier to choose next to the things it has to live with. Bring what you can:

  • a cabinet door or the paint color, plus a tile or backsplash sample;
  • the sink, faucet and cooktop models, or their spec sheets;
  • photos of the room and rough measurements, even hand-drawn.

Our checklist on what to look for in a stone showroom covers the questions worth asking any supplier, us included.

Which office permits work at your address

North Charleston stretches across three counties, Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester, so a North Charleston mailing address doesn't settle who issues permits. Inside city limits it is the City's Building and Permit Inspections office; just outside, it is the county.

The City lists electrical, plumbing, gas and mechanical permits separately from building permits. That matters when a new top comes with a moved sink or a new cooktop circuit. One detail from the City's permit page catches people out: a permit is good for six months, and it expires if no inspection is done in that time.

Kitchens, vanities and marble near the shop

Bathroom tops deserve the same attention as kitchens. A vanity is a small piece, which makes it the easiest place to use a dramatic stone: our Black Forest marble page shows a black slab with fluid white veining. Our guide to a custom stone vanity top with sink explains sizing and sink choices.

For kitchens, compare natural quartzite countertops with engineered quartz surfaces; both pages explain where each one fits.

How a job moves from the showroom to your kitchen

  1. You send the room, sizes and timeline by phone or form; we reply within 24 hours, as our site promises.
  2. You pick the slab here, with a stone specialist.
  3. We template on your installed cabinets, agree the edge and finish, and cut in our shop.
  4. Our crew installs, scribing each piece to the cabinets.

Schedule your templating conversation.

A shop in a city built around work

According to the City's history page, the Navy bought Chicora Park on the Cooper River and established the Charleston Naval Yard there in 1901. The Naval Base and Shipyard closed in January 1996.

Part of that ground is now Riverfront Park, rated 4.7 from 3,432 Google Maps reviews (read October 9, 2026), where visitors mention the memorial, concerts, the boardwalk and water views.

Park Circle tells the other half of the story. Laid out by a development company from 1912, it was planned as one of only two English garden-style communities in the country.

The park at its center holds 4.7 stars from 1,022 reviews, and people single out the disc golf course, the playground, the Christmas lights and the farmers market.

What goes into a countertop quote here

No prices on this page: stone costs move and a published figure would be wrong soon. The quote follows the stone you choose, the square footage and number of slabs, edge profile and thickness, sink and cooktop cutouts, backsplash and extra pieces, and the tear-out of the old tops. Ask for a written quote.

Not our line of work

We fabricate and install new tops. Chip repairs, refinishing and sealing services for existing countertops are outside what we offer.
